Two-Piece Bespoke Regency/Empire Riding Habit. Sewn for an event that was never attended.The dress bodice is a muted slub silk type fabric (not burn tested, but believed to be silk) and fully lined. Adjustable scoop neckline. The bodice employs two hook and bar closures at center back. The dress skirt and jacket are made from a repurposed velvet duvet/doona cover. The jacket is fully lined with a muted gold lining fabric and closes with 3 gold frog closures at center front. The jacket back sports a gathered peplum. The skirt front is slightly flared A-line. The skirt back boasts gathered tiers finishing in a short train.B/c fabric was repurposed there are some very small imperfections that I took care to place where they would not be noticeable. 40" Bust +/-. 14" Shoulder Width. 47" Empire Waist to Hem in Center Front. Suits about 5'7" to 5'9". Best Guess is a Modern size 10 or 12.White ruffled dickie is NOT included.
